The Government of India officially instituted the National Doctor’s Day in 1991 to commemorate the anniversary of legendary physician Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, belonging to West Bengal. In India, National doctor’s day is celebrated every 1st of July to acknowledge the efforts made by the physicians to individual lives and communities.
